U-Haul Continues to Offer 30 Days of Free Self-Storage and Also Is Offering 30 Days of Free U-Box Portable Moving and Self-Storage to Oklahoma Tornado Victims
OKLAHOMA CITY - (June 1, 2013) — The U-Haul Company of Oklahoma City announced today that Company-owned U-Haul centers throughout Oklahoma remain open for business, and are still offering 30 days free self-storage to tornado victims.
The U-Haul Company of Oklahoma also is offering 30 days free U-Box portable moving and self-storage to tornado victims. With U-Box portable moving and self-storage, you can conveniently pick up our custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box container with you. U-Haul can also store the U-Box container in our secure warehouse or even pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice.
In order to better serve all Oklahoma residents and families, the U-Haul Company of Oklahoma recently lowered the price of small, medium, large and extra-large U-Haul boxes while increasing the daily flow of boxes and other much-needed supplies into local stores. This will ensure availability of what the community needs to help with tornado recovery such as tarps, gloves, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul urges customers to stop in to ensure that their propane tanks are topped off, since propane is a good thing to have on hand in the event of long-term power outages.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by the recent, devastating tornado that swept across Oklahoma. Because the need is so great, U-Haul unfortunately is unable to assist every individual or organization that submits a request for a donation of rental equipment to assist in these recovery efforts. U-Haul has chosen to assist the American Red Cross, the military, government agencies, local police and fire departments, and organizations we have existing relationships or partnerships with.
Oklahoma residents also can take advantage of the U-Haul Take a Box, Leave a Box Program. The program enables anyone to bring in their reusable boxes, to allow others to take them as needed – FREE. U-Haul encourages anyone who has any type of reusable box to drop it off at the nearest U-Haul location, instead of throwing the reusable box into the recycling bin.
Families needing more information about the 30-days-free self-storage assistance program should contact the following U-Haul regional office or the U-Haul center location listed below.
